Ignition Repair

Let the experts at Saul’s Autotek determine the treatment suitable for your vehicle’s ignition system.

Serving the Centennial State Since 1989

The ignition system is one of the most important components of a vehicle.

It distributes power from the battery to all the electrical components. Once you turn the key, you signal the vehicle to begin the ignition process. However, when the ignition wears out, it can make it difficult for you to start your vehicle. A faulty ignition can also cause malfunctions in other electrical systems.

Saul’s Autotek is here to provide you with ignition services. We have a team of ASE-certified technicians who repair, maintain, and replace ignition systems of vehicles from numerous brands. With over 31 years in the auto repair industry, we’ve encountered and resolved a range of ignition problems. We guarantee that our mechanics can help you get your car back up and running.

Signs Indicating Faulty Ignition System

You will start to notice some changes in your car’s performance whеn thе ignition fails. Some common signs include the following:

1. Stalling

If your vehicle suddenly stalls after starting or while you’re driving, it’s an indication of ignition switch problems. When the ignition switch fails while the engine’s running, it cuts off the power to the fuel and ignition systems. This, in turn, causes stalling.

2. Malfunctioning Engine

The ignition switch sends power to the ignition controls, starter motor, and engine controls. All these systems won’t be able to function if they don’t receive sufficient power from the ignition switch.

3. Glitching Electrical Components

When you turn your key to start your vehicle and the dashboard lights, interior lights, stereo, and other electrical components don’t turn on, it may be a sign of issues with your ignition switch.

4. Difficulty Turning or Removing the Key

Trouble removing or turning the key is also a sign of a worn ignition switch. It’s highly likely that the key isn’t connecting to the ignition switch properly. This is a serious issue, as there are instances where the engine remains running even after the key is removed.
