Good morning. I’m Saul Reisman, and today we’re here with this classic 1972 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.
This vehicle is a family heirloom and has been in the same household since 1980. It came to us with less than 4,000 original miles on the odometer. This vehicle has truly been cared for its entire life.
While this is a Denver show vehicle and a collector car, it came to us because it’s leaking several fluids simply based on age. A lot of the rubber seals have started to crack and dry rot and fall apart, and as a result, when it’s parked at shows, it sometimes leaves its mark a little more than it should.
In this case, the Denver Rolls Royce owner brought it to us and said he wants to be able to go to shows with the vehicle, not leave a drop on the pavement and know that it’s in a good, reliable mechanical condition. So from our end, we were able to perform [phone rings] a full inspection on the vehicle.
From our end, we were able to get a good look at the vehicle top to bottom, front to back, inside and out, see some very interesting engineering that was way ahead of its time, and at the same time be able to provide this vehicle with repairs that will last it a lifetime.
From minor oil leaks, that in this case require removing the engine to repair, to simple cooling system issues of degraded hoses and belts that should be replaced with time, this vehicle has truly survived the test of time. Even though it does have some age and some miles on ‘er, we can definitely keep this guy on the road for years to come.
