Rare hubcaps on 1965 Mercury Monterey Marauder in Denver

Hi there. This is Saul Reisman, over at Saul’s Automotive and today, we are going to talk to you about one more oddball part that we really enjoy gettin’ to see on some of these classic cars. Today, we’re up underneath a 1965 Mercury Monterey Marauder package. There were very few Marauders put out on the road and there are some really unique differences with them.

One of the differences that we’re going to be looking at today is in the hub assemblies. The factory hubcaps were a steel cap with a hundred-spoke design. They offered them in 60- and 80-spoke, just depending on what people wanted. The whitewall tire was classic to go with it. The difference here we have though is we got this tri-spoke center hubcap with the actual Marauder, as expected, in a Spanish hat that matched the vehicle, engraved on each cap. We were very fortunate to find that this vehicle had all four still intact.

While there may be some really interesting, really beautiful chrome pieces and trim pieces that lots of us support and love, this component is the most valuable piece of this car. We love to see these oddball corner pieces and accessories here at Saul’s Automotive. We take pride in making sure that every detail is meticulously maintained on your classic vehicle. If you have a classic that has perfect caps that have never been touched, we can make sure that we service your vehicle without touching them or adding any detriment to your vehicle in any way. You can rest assured that we appreciate the exact same extent of what you appreciate in your vehicle. This is where our passion is.

If you have a classic or collector or even just something odd and unique that you’d like us to service, please give us a call. We can be reached seven days a week at (303) 919-7769 and we would love to see your special car.
