Today, we are going to talk a little bit more about getting the exact, correct brakes for your Denver vehicle.
Many locations, here in Denver, may tell you that they offer a brake special that’s the same price whether it’s a Nissan, a Honda, a Ford, a Chevy, a Dodge, as long as it’s a car. They’ll charge you the same amount of money, no matter what. Well, that can seem like a good idea and be appealing at first. It’s not necessarily the greatest solution for your vehicle. Part of what our job is as you Denver auto repair technicians are to do is to ensure that you get the exact repair that your vehicle needs. So, when your vehicle comes in for any kind of brake concerns, before we inspect the vehicle, we’re gonna talk with you about your driving habits and your driving styles, if the vehicle carries any excess amount of weight, if there’s any serious strain on the vehicle from going to the mountains often, et cetera.
So that we can help plan to put the best products on your vehicle. There are over 20 different types of brake pad friction materials available on the market today. We only use the best five or six of those, depending on the right situation. Of those top tier brakes that we use, there are very serious specifications as far as which ones will perform better on which vehicles. There are some brake pads we use which only perform well in high heat situations, whether that be in a heavy friction use like in a large truck or fleet use, or in a racing application. At the same time, there are some brake pads that we use that are designed to keep dust and noise levels to a minimum. As those vehicles often see chauffer or service use, we try and keep them as optimistically as quiet as possible.
At the same time, we see many other Denver cars and trucks come in with the request of an upgrade to their brakes, or something better than what was factory, but still maintain the same ride quality characteristics and resistance to fading and resistance to being grabby when hot. We specifically go through the metallurgy tables for each and every brake pad that comes through, so that we can ensure only the best product is installed on your vehicle. This way, your brake pads will last the longest, wear the most even and consistent, and keep you safe for as long as possible. If you have any concerns about your brakes in any way, shape, or form, please come and see us.
We do free brake inspections, we’re open seven days a week, and we’re more than happy to keep you stopping right.
