Automotive Maintenance Tips: Wheel Bearings Denver

Wheel Bearings in Denver Auto Repair

At Saul’s AUTOTEK we can’t tell you enough to pay attention to the behavior of the car.

If it is not working as it should be please give us a call at 303-919-7769. We perform diagnostics for free so that we can check out any concerns you may have about your car.

For example, we had a consumer bring in his car about the noise on the wheel bearing for several months. The original complaint was when you went at higher speeds there would a thumping noise that got louder in speed. Eventually, this noise became louder and more frequent with lower and lower speeds. The owner continued to use his car without going to an Automotive place. Eventually, the wheel bearing that spins around with the wheel when the vehicle ceased and stop spinning. Which means only one inner side of the wheel bearing is working. Overall, it stopped working altogether. This means that the front wheels stopped completely at 70 miles per hour.

Because he did not come in before this happens, this problem would only cost $70 and an hour or two of labor. It destroyed through all the things around it which means replacing a hub, a bearing, and a knuckle on the vehicle which is a lot more labor. This results in a price repair of five times more than if he came in when he heard the noise earlier.
